The journey until now...
I am Sofia BaÅŸak, my journey of tending the earth started in London's urban gardens.
Blossomed at the mythical Ida and Taurus Mountains of Anatolia, stretching all the way to the Americas and Eurasia through their wisdom. Today, the journey continues in central Portugal.
My never ending student life officially started with an interest in Permaculture.
Along with working in many gardens, I trained at Ceres Agricultural School in Türkiye which focused mostly on Biodynamic Farming.
I finally chose to specialize in herbalism and went through intensive trainings throughout the years.

The Apprenticeship to the Sacred Wild with Marysia Miernowska.
The Science and Art of Herbalism with Rosemary Gladstar
Vitalist Herbal Practitioner with Sajah Popham
Cosmic Herbalism with Adriana Ayales

I am currently mentoring at The School of the Sacred Wild where I have received my community herbalist diploma, and I continue my role as coordinator at the Collective Wonder Herb School in Portugal.

I am highly dedicated to creating rituals and sacred space through sound, movement and storytelling.
After journeying with the creator of the Emerald Podcast Josh Schrei in his program Mythic Body, I now cherish the myths and dive deep in the embodiment practices during our gatherings.
As I witness the flawless flow of nature with six senses and connect to divine through these practices and the teachings of the plant world, I am in total awe for the miracle we are in. I rootedly believe that we can alleviate all the situations seen as problems today by re-membering our belonging to nature in relation to animate forces and live this life with great awareness.
To support this vision and to do my part, I create circles, hold ritual space, be present, give individual consultations, teach beginner-level classes on medicinal plants, organize gatherings to introduce ways to connect with the sacred wild, guide plant-body-mind related meditations, and talk a lot about our right to live a balanced and healthy life.
Hoping to meet you very soon,
May you be adorned with flowers.
